Will Monster be a brand acquisition for Coca-Cola?
Is Coca-Cola thinking about an acquisition with Monster Beverage Corporation? Coca-Cola has denied all claims of this so-called rumor. However, many investors believe this is true because Coca-Cola has been trying to boost their sales with the energy drink sector of the company. If this were to take place, Monster would be Coca-Cola's largest brand acquisition ever. Another piece of evidence pointing towards an acquisition is the fact that shares of Monster sky-rocketed to 27% more than it was. So, I guess only time will tell if this profitable acquisition will transpire.

PEST Analysis for Coca-Cola
Coca-Cola obviously has an excellent strategy for all aspects of their company. However, to keep up with competition, they had to take the time and analyze the economic, political, social, and technological factors that could affect their business landscape. They have to worry about issues such as changes in beverage laws and regulations, penetrating developing markets, economic conditions, demand for healthier beverages, and advancement in technology. After considering all of these factors, Coca-Cola should analyze data concerning these issues and draw some strategic conclusions. What kind of suggestions would you have?

Coca-Cola's Competitive Advantage

Apparently, Coca-Cola's advantage over any other soft drink company is due primarily to its brand image. The popularity of its image has caused many critics to get mind boggled and chose Coca-Cola as the better tasting product. Coca-Cola has created value through the media alone. Coca-Cola is seen in newspapers, maganizes, on radio ads, sports events, and even movies. Advertising and marketing is this company's main advantage.
